Navarra is detecting healthcare challenges to be solved by digital health
The Region of Navarra (Spain), as a member of the inDemand Community, is currently detecting healthcare challenges to be solved by digital health. The goal is to test the «inDemand model» within this region – an innovative model that applies at the same time demand-driven and co-creation approaches.
Navarra held a workshop on the 23rd of January in order to explain the model and the innovation challenges detection to more than 100 healthcare professionals from the Navarra public health system (Department of Health, Navarra’s Health Service-Osasunbidea, Navarra’s Institute of Public Health and Labour, etc.).
As explained during the meeting, the innovation challenges are sought in any sector and level of healthcare services, in terms of problems, needs or obstacles that may require a digital solution that represents innovation and an improvement in how it has been addressed so far. The challenges may be presented by teams made up of several professionals and the explicit support of their superiors.
In the evaluation of the challenges, among other criteria, attention will be paid to the fact that the potential digital solution that responds to the challenge is compatible and integrable with the requirements and technological scenarios of Navarra’s health information systems. The call for healthcare professionals will be opened until the 7th of February.
Are you a digital health company? Stay tuned!
The 4 selected challenges will be communicated in February 2020. These 4 teams will be involved in a process of definition of the technical and functional requirements of the potential solutions. The call for companies will be launched around April 2020 by the Department of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation.
Through this call, 4 development companies will be selected to carry out, together with the 4 healthcare professionals teams, the co-development and validation of the digital solutions in the second half of 2020. The call will be disseminated through the inDemand Newsletter and our social media profiles.
Thank you very much for the interest shown during the workshop.
We are happy to see the room plenty of healthcare professionals committed to innovation!
