Murcia starts its co-creation phase
Say hello to inDemand family in Region of Murcia!
Healthcare professionals and IT companies had met for the first time. Let’s co-creation start!
Sunny day in Murcia -as always. The selected IT companies had officially become solvers of the four challenges launched by the healthcare professionals from the Servicio Murciano de Salud. The time to meet in person had come. Good things are worth waiting for!
We organized an appointment with all the experts involved. Is what we called the ‘co-creation kick-off meeting’, but it was more than that. We kind of felt that this was going to be like a first date momentum. And when you’re having a date, you have to be prepared to do your best. That’s why during the morning, before the meeting, solvers received a training about co-creation and business model. Or maybe we could also name it as First-Date Mistakes You Can’t Afford to Make.
Gorka Sánchez, from Servicio Murciano de Salud as the challenger, Rafael Ataz, from Instituto de Fomento de la Región de Murcia as the funder, and Jorge González, from Ticbiomed as the supporter, shared with them some insights about how to co-work productively with healthcare professionals and how important is to focus on the value proposition of their digital solutions.
And after lunch, dating time arrived! At this point, we’re sure you want to know more. Let us introduce you the teams:
Challenge 1: ACRA (Avoiding Care)
Selected company: BigML
Challenge 2: MENUDO (Child obesity support solution for healthcare providers and families)
Selected company: Healthy Blue Bits
Challenge 3: EPITIC (Digital patient-doctor communication channel for epilepsy management)
Selected company: Answaretech
Challenge 4: HEAT (HEAlthcare Training management platform)
Selected company: Costaisa
Good news: they are all going to meet again! During the following 7 months, healthcare professionals and digital health companies will work together as one. They will also receive support from Ticbiomed in order to get a digital solution replicable and sustainable.
And what about us? Well, as connectors, we’re happy. We are seeing how highly motivated healthcare professionals are. They are willing to innovate and to learn from companies what they could offer to improve their job. Of course, companies are excited about this opportunity. And it seems like it really makes sense to incorporate a demand-driven approach and to give healthcare professionals a leading role.
